Located adjacent to the company’s existing warehouse and showroom building, the new warehouse totals 20,000 sq.ft. on two levels and will serve as storage space only. This will increase the company’s total footprint to more than 50,000 square feet of showroom, design, manufacturing and warehousing / distribution space. Inventory will now be consolidated in one location, adjacent to the design/manufacturing center, for improved operational efficiency. The new facility is scheduled for completion in July 2008. Tom Wessel Construction is the general contractor. Lux-Art Silks has been in business for over 40 years as a designer and manufacturer of permanent botanicals – artificial trees, plants and flowers – and sells to the furniture and interior design industry. The company maintains showrooms in Sarasota, High Point and Dallas. 9/28/06 Lux-Art Silks Remodels High Point Showroom SARASOTA, FL -- Lux-Art Silks International, leading manufacturers of fine quality permanent botanicals, announces the expansion of its showroom in High Point’s C & D Building. With this expansion, the third since the company became a charter tenant in the building 12 years ago, showroom space stretches to 3,660 square feet. With this renovation, Lux-Art created an open showroom by removing a wall of glass and creating an open air floral market feel. The renovation also included installation of new hardwood floors stained in ebony to contrast with Lux-Art’s collections of white floral designs. The company will exhibit in a 2,800-square foot showroom in space D244 of the IHFC's Design Center Wing.It will also show one more time this April on the first floor of the C&D Building before closing that showroom to focus on the new IHFC space. Lux-Art completely remodeled its new showroom space in the IHFC for this market. "We took up the floor to expose the polished cement, and we removed the glass walls so that the showroom opens directely into the hall. The space now has a friendly, open-air kind of feel that is very inviting say's Lux-Art president Scott Brenn." At the April Market, Lux-Art plans to introduce more than 200 new designs, including new clean-lined contemporary designs and it's first collection of succulents.
